Ampd Bros
Australia's original fat tyre e-bike brand
Ampd Bros is a Gold Coast-based, family-owned e-bike brand founded in 2019. With 45,000+ units sold through 80+ locations nationwide, they're one of the biggest fat-tyre e-bike brands in Australia. Their ACE series dominates the 20-inch fat-tyre segment with models from the compact Mini to the dual-motor Demon. Unlike most competitors, Ampd Bros ships adult e-bikes as pedal-assist only — the throttle is sold separately as an off-road accessory. They also run a growing youth range including the EVO Racing electric dirt bikes and the Lil Rippa fat-tyre kids bike.
Models
ACE-X Mini
The compact entry point to the ACE range. At 29 kg with 16-inch wheels and a single-speed drivetrain, the Mini is built for smaller riders up to 170 cm. Ships with a rear basket instead of a dual seat — this is a solo rider bike. No suspension, no gears, just a simple city runabout.
ACE-X
The bike that built the brand. A 20-inch fat-tyre cruiser with a dual seat for two riders, Shimano 7-speed gearing, and a 780 Wh Samsung battery. The ACE-X is the core of the Ampd Bros range — simple, no suspension, and configurable between EN 250W (road-legal) and 500W off-road at purchase. No throttle included.
ACE-X Street
The ACE-X repackaged for urban riding. Same frame and specs as the standard ACE-X, but fitted with Schwalbe Super Moto X street tyres instead of Kenda Krusade mud tyres. The colour options are bolder and the styling is more urban — otherwise it's the same bike.
ACE-S
Step-through version of the ACE-X. Identical specs — same 65 Nm motor, 780 Wh battery, dual seat, Shimano 7-speed. The low-bar frame makes it easier to mount, popular with shorter riders and those who prefer a more relaxed riding position.
ACE-X Plus+
The ACE-X with meaningful upgrades: an 80 Nm motor, 1,040 Wh battery, and front suspension. The bigger battery adds 20 km of range and the suspension makes a noticeable difference on rough surfaces. Configurable up to 750W in off-road mode.
ACE-S Plus+
Step-through version of the ACE-X Plus+. Same 80 Nm motor, 1,040 Wh battery, and front suspension in the low-bar frame.
ACE-X MAX
The cargo variant of the ACE range. A longer wheelbase and integrated heavy-duty rear rack make this the utility workhorse — at 40.5 kg it's the heaviest ACE. Same 80 Nm motor and 1,040 Wh battery as the Plus+, with non-adjustable front suspension.
ACE-X PRO
The top-spec ACE with dual suspension, 95 Nm motor, and the largest battery in the range at 1,300 Wh. Upgrades include 4-piston Tektro brakes with 203 mm rotors, VEE Tire Huntsman puncture-resistant tyres, an 800-lumen headlight, and an adjustable quilted seat. Configurable up to 1,000W in off-road mode.
ACE-S PRO
Step-through version of the ACE-X PRO with the same 95 Nm motor, 1,300 Wh battery, dual suspension, and 4-piston brakes. Features a patented rear suspension linkage designed for the step-through frame and 100 mm seat height adjustment.
ACE-X Demon
The most extreme bike in the Ampd Bros range. Dual Bafang hub motors (front and rear) deliver all-wheel drive with a combined 190 Nm of torque. At 52 kg it's the heaviest model by a wide margin. Sold as off-road only — there's no EN 250W configuration option. This is a private property bike.
Chubbie 3
A 26-inch fat-tyre beach cruiser — bigger wheels and a more relaxed riding position than the ACE series. The Series 3 update adds a frame-integrated battery and wooden detailing panels. At 38 kg with 80 km range, it's built for longer coastal rides. Step-over frame.
Chubbie-S 3
Step-through version of the Chubbie 3. Same 26-inch beach cruiser with frame-integrated battery and wooden detailing, in a low-bar frame.
Chubbie 2
Previous-generation 26-inch beach cruiser, still available on clearance. Same motor and battery specs as the Chubbie 3 but with an external removable battery instead of frame-integrated, and no wooden detailing. A solid bike at a lower price point while stock lasts.
Chubbie-S 2
Step-through version of the previous-generation Chubbie 2. On clearance while stock lasts.
Riptide 3
A 26-inch cruiser with slimmer 3.0-inch tyres — more road-friendly than the fat-tyre Chubbie. Lighter motor (60 Nm) and smaller battery (720 Wh) keep the price down. Comes with a rear cargo rack. Step-over frame.
Riptide-S 3
Step-through version of the Riptide 3. Same 26-inch cruiser with slimmer 3.0-inch tyres, rear cargo rack, and 720 Wh battery.
Stubbie S3
A compact 20-inch cruiser — same wheel size as the ACE but a different, more upright frame style with an integrated rear rack. At 38 kg it's heavier than the ACE-X despite the smaller battery. Step-over frame.
Stubbie-S S3
Step-through version of the Stubbie S3. Same compact 20-inch cruiser with integrated rear rack in a low-bar frame.
Stubbie PRO
The upgraded Stubbie with an 80 Nm motor, VEE Tire Huntsman anti-puncture tyres, and front suspension — upgrades the standard Stubbie S3 doesn't get. Configurable up to 750W in off-road mode. Step-over frame only.
EVO Racing 16"
Entry-level kids electric dirt bike for ages 3.5+. No pedals — throttle only. Three speed modes (Eco 15, Low 20, Sport 25 km/h) with dual hydraulic suspension. The 120 Wh battery gives about an hour of riding. Removable and swappable battery. Not road-legal — private property and off-road use only.
EVO Racing 18"
Mid-size kids electric dirt bike for ages 5+. Steps up to a 500W motor and 180 Wh battery with 30 km/h top speed in Sport mode. Same dual suspension setup as the 16-inch model. No pedals — throttle only.
EVO Racing 20"
The largest EVO Racing for ages 6-7+. 750W motor, 270 Wh battery, and 35 km/h top speed in Sport mode. Same dual suspension and hydraulic disc brakes as the smaller models, scaled up for riders 120-140 cm.
Lil Rippa 16"
A 16-inch fat-tyre kids bike with a surprisingly large 468 Wh battery — nearly 4x the capacity of the EVO Racing 16-inch. That translates to 40 km range or up to 2 hours of riding. 35 km/h top speed in Sport mode with parental speed controls. Fat mud tyres and a 100 kg max load mean adults can ride it too. Throttle only — no pedals.
Warrior SX-E500
Kids electric motorbike with chain drive and dual suspension — styled like a mini motorcycle, not a bicycle. 500W motor peaking at 700W, 35 km/h top speed, and a cut-off lanyard switch for safety. Magnesium alloy wheels. No pedals, no registration — private property only.
